He has already positioned himself in the eyes and hearts of the Filipino people and many more around the world as a man of discipline and honor, humility and fear of God, he is not perfect, yes, and he may have had some gaffles here and there, throughout his career, but over all, we can give him an overall rating of 8 for honor and dignity as a celebrity.

We do not really want him to be corrupted and destroyed by politics, especially in the Philippines.  We know for a fact how dirty it is.  It can eat Manny alive. It can destroy his family, his career and the hearts and respect of his fans worldwide.

If I were Manny, i would have one or two more fights and then retire.  I will not wait until i get beaten up black and blue or downed and knocked by a younger , more powerful opponent.

If he is, and i am sure that he really is, sincere in making a dufference in other people’s lives, I would just suggest he create a foundation, similar to what Andre Agassi and other sports people have done, which will educate, support and assist under privileged individuals or communities. This will, in my opinion protect his dignity while serving the people and the community at large.

I can’t express enough my satisfaction and respect to Pacquiao’s shameless display of faith.  He never forgets to acknowledge divine providence in his victories and remembers to give back glory and praise to his Maker and Sustainer.

What really amazes me about Manny is his shameless proclamation of his faith in God.  This is truly impressive.  He never fails to acknowledge his being dependent on a higher, more powerful being than himself, his God.  And for that i really salute him.

I just saw the 2nd round fight and notice he went silently back to his corner to pray (probably praise and thank) to God for his victory.  Manny, you are the man!

Martin Nievera’s singing of the national anthem was PATHETIC. It lacked conviction, passion and strength, it was unfitting for a boxing match. Other singers could have done a better job.  His voice was so soft and light.  I was not at all convinced.  Sorry Martin.

Lets have a party and celebrate this amazing victory of Pacman

Charice is currently in the Philippines busy promoting her Mother’s Day album released via ABS-CBN’s Star Records.  I did not change my opinion about the overall production value of the album.  If not for her voice, this sounds like any other local album – not for international release.

I am more than excited on the US album.

No amount of teasing from my friends Don Crizaldo, Alvin Benemerito, Harry Sanchez, Randell Mercado and Aris Guzman from lunch yesterday can make me change my views about Charice…. for me, she is and will be – better than any other Filipino singer that ever lived.

How’s that for my Princess?

As of yesterday, there is only less than a hundred confirmed cases of Swine Flu in the US.  None has died.

As of yesterday, there has been 149 deaths in Mexico.

As of yesterday, President Obama asked US congress for 1.5$ billion to finance its response to flu threat

Many articles have already been written commenting on how Drug companies could actually be benefiting from the world economic crisis.  This could be further boosted with the presence or a percieved immenent threat of a pandemic.

Famous multi-national Drug companies are now stacking up on production of popular flu medicines, even the ones whose side effects could be fatal to children.   But what the heck, who cares about the side-effects!

With many companies going bankrupt, someone will have to come up with a clever solution in bringing money back to corporations, right?

You can let GM and the rest of US automakers go down the drain, these people/investors/corporate leeches can always start up a new business – how about Pharmaceuticals???

Chicken , garlic, carrots, onions and ginger – makes a really comfortable soup and a sure immune booster.  Go figure out.   Mushroom supplements as well as green tea are beneficial too.

What really baffles me is how these viruses mutate. Do they do that naturally or with a little help from labs experimenting on them?  Will someone correct me if i am wrong, but i think that these viruses are intentionally cultured in laboratories who are doing research in combatting and finding vaccine or medicine against these viruses.  The only way to actually test if their solution works is to try it in real life.  Call me an insane conspiracy theorist, but this is just my opinion.
